List of Intriguing and Thought-Provoking
Questions that the Press Might Find Useful (Good
Stuff!)
* Tell us a little about yourself, your background and what prompt you to get into the world of dog training and canine psychology?
* You believe that training a dog with treats is NOT practical nor natural. In fact, in your book you mention those who advocate this method, as “scamming” you out of your money and ruining your dog's true potential. Could you elaborate on that?
* On your web site you cover twenty reasons why a dog doesn’t always listen. If you had to give me the two most common reasons, what would they be?
* You also advise dog owners to NEVER take their dogs to dog parks. You believe that sooner or later, dogs teach other many bad habits that are hard to break even for the most experienced trainers. Why is this?
* What do you say to those trainers that challenge you by saying, “If using treats is so bad, why the majority of trainers and dog books recommend it? After all, we wouldn’t work for free and neither should our dogs!" This is why treats are used to reward the dog for obeying us. How else are we suppose to train them?
* With so many other dog books out there, what would you say makes your book better or different than others on the market?
* What would you say are the main flaws behind different dog training methods or even dog trainers out there?
* What is the "Diverse Method" exactly? Would you say that you've pioneered this theory and how do you believe that this philosophy is going to be the future of dog training?
* How would you compare yourself to Cesar Millan (The Dog Whisperer) and Victoria Stillwell (It's Me or the Dog)? Do you also consider yourself as another Dog Whisperer? Why or why not?
* What would you say is the most challenging part of your job?
* Which breeds of dogs would you say are the easiest and hardest to train?
* Is there a dog that you just couldn't train or rehabilitate?
* I see that you are one of the few experts in your field who accepts extreme cases of aggression. Have you been bit or do you get bit on a regular basis?
* What are the most common concerns that dog owners seek your help for?
* What are your thoughts and beliefs about Pit Bulls?
* If you have to give all dog owners in the world just one advice, what
would that be?
